MINDFUL MOMENT 2003 07 06 - How To Be Mindful (Part II) You'll remember that last week I asked you to e-mail me with your answer to the following question: I had some really interesting responses and I'll be sharing them with you (along with some of my own answers to the question) over the coming weeks. For one person, it is the love of a child that keeps them mindful. "Each day I drop my son off at daycare. When he cries and reaches out to me as I'm leaving the room, my heart breaks. Some days I don't think I can bear it. The reason it hurts so much is that I have this incredible love for someone that I never knew could exist. He is my will to live, love and achieve great things in life. It's for him that I aspire to be someone better than I am. It's him that keeps me mindful of what matters in life. Work, school and stupid drivers on the highway can bring me down, make me angry and resentful - less of who I am. Thinking of my son, looking at him smile at me, the hugs, the kisses, the safety I know he feels with me, brings me back - and then takes me even further ahead!" That's powerful stuff isn't it? I urge each of us to follow this example and think about the things in our lives that REALLY matter - then simply keep them clearly in focus and it will be much easier to live a mindful life! So what about YOU? I'd love to hear more examples of what people do to remain mindful.
Remember, if I incorporate your feedback into a future issue I won't use any names, so don't be shy. Now if you'll excuse me - I have to go and hug MY family!! ENJOY NOW! Copyright (c) 2003-2004, all rights reserved. ©MMVII - Patrick Mathieu Unlimited. All Rights Reserved. Privacy Policy | ||
